DTS offered training to all its clients on the use of Infrared Thermometers and the Interpretation of Calibration Certificates.
The aim was to provide each participant with a basic conceptual understanding of best practices on how to perform temperature measurement with Infrared Thermometers (IR) to fulfill the latest standards and quality requirements.
Metrologist technician Aniuska Sánchez and Sebastian Morgado, who is in charge of Standardization, administered the training course. The topics included the following:
What is metrology?
What are the units of temperature measurement according to the SI?
Why use radiation thermometry?
How is the temperature of the IR thermometer measured?
What minimum aspects should be considered before measurement?
How should the certificate issued by DTS be interpreted and applied in daily use?
The training course was conducted in the new DTS facilities located in Rodrigo de Araya 1263, Macul, Chile. Following the classes, DTS offered a lunch for all attendees of the course.
We thank all the participants for their attendance and interest.
